Together, we can create a Colorado where everyone has the healthy food they need to thrive.
Hunger Free Colorado is committed to meaningful partnerships that leverage resources and break down barriers to food access. Across the state, communities have the wisdom and drive to implement solutions to hunger. We provide tools, training and funding to empower community-led anti-hunger work and advocacy. Join our growing network of nonprofit organizations, government agencies, medical providers, community resource centers, faith congregations, schools and neighborhood activists.
SNAP Outreach
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is our nation’s most effective anti-hunger program. Each year, this program ensures that families and individuals, including children, older adults and people living with disabilities can access needed nutrition. To improve our state participation in SNAP, we provide free trainings, tools and support to community partners in Colorado.
Food Resource Hotline Referral Program
Our referral partners screen and refer clients or patients with food insecurity to our free and statewide and bilingual Food Resource Hotline, available in 150+ languages. Our friendly and knowledgeable Hotline Navigators will help Coloradans navigate federal and charitable food programs available in their area and apply for nutrition programs, such as SNAP and WIC.
Food Pantries
Food pantries (and food banks) play a major role in ensuring all Coloradans have access to the healthy food needed to thrive. Our Colorado Food Pantry Network brings food pantries together to end hunger in Colorado and our Farm to Food Pantry initiative connects food pantries and food banks to their local farmers, ranchers and producers.
Hunger Free Students
Hunger Free Students exists to end student hunger (preschool through high school) in Colorado through training and school partnerships. Find resources and information about nutrition programs for students in and out of school.
